Can't Change Chapter Page With Controller

when navigating the chapter select menu on the songs page with a controller, it just jumps from chapter 1 to chapter 3. it works completely normally with the mouse but it skips page 2 entirely when attempting with controller. no screenshots attached as i dont really know what to put for this bug. its happening on v51 on steam, im playing on windows 10, and has been happening since In The Closet was added at least, never really tried switching pages before then

Yeah, unfortunately nothing we can do on our end to fix that. Its an issue of steam and DS4 both sending those inputs and or conflicting. I'll keep an eye out for anything I can do on my side ,but for now that seems to be a fix. Thank you for helping to figure that out with me.

Which controller are you using, and do you use any software like ds4 windows that changes your controller? Testing this with my 8bitdo controller doesn't produce the same issue. Also does it act as two button inputs, or is it just skipping it no matter which way and where you start?

GlitchTheRobot im using a ps5 controller through steam, i have ds4 but it is only enabled to show battery life and make dark souls 2 recognize my ps4 controller, i can try disabling ds4 when i get home to see if it helps, steam recognizes my controller by default so im not sure if thats the problem. It acts as two inputs specifically because the shop menu does it too, and only jumps two menus and only happens with the triggers and shoulder buttons

Chase Bishop: I am gonna try and get a ps5 and xbox controllers to test myself at some point ,but I would check and see if turning ds4 windows off would help. Its probably due to steam and ds4 windows fighting for control over the controller, and causing double inputs. Let me know and I'll see about testing on my side when I get them.

Chase Bishop I just tried my ps5 controller, it seems to be functioning correctly on my side. I still think this is an issue with ds4 windows/steam conflicting or having incorrect settings. Only other thing is, can you look at your %appdata%\Godot\app_userdata\Beat Banger folder and give me the binds.ini , keybinds.sav (if you don't have this one that's good, its old and should be there), and game.save files?

GlitchTheRobot i just tested with turning off DS4 and that did in fact fix the problem. i dont know if theres some way to fix that but if not i can live with disabling it until i need it again, not sure how you would go about fixing that
