I have gotten used to playing using arrow keys, but would like to try playing with other layouts. I would still like to use the arrow key glyphs (up, down, left, right) but bound to different keys, or even controller buttons. Being able to change the glyphs would help with readability when transitioning to different layouts.

I prefer to keep my scroll speed at x2.0, but whenever I start the game, it reverts to x1.0. I would like for it to save the scroll speed modifier when closing the game so I don't need to set it every time I open it.

I have many mods installed, and scrolling the menu is a very annoying process. A grid view (maybe based on thumbnails) would do wonders for this. I also think a tag-based dynamic folder system would be wonderful. Essentially, a way to apply named tags to mods which can then be used to filter mods into grouped folders, with filtering within those folders based on other tags that the contents hold. For example, you could have a folder/tag for simple reskin mods, and another folder for favorite mods. You can open the 'reskin' folder, and within that folder, I could then sort by the 'favorite' tag. If this system is too much to implement for whatever reason, then just adding the ability to add simple folders or filterable tags. Even being able to rename mods from the mod menu would be wonderful, as sometimes the mod creators don't name or falsely name their mods, and it could provide a makeshift filter system by renaming mods for those who really want it.

Here's my idea; in practice mode, you can pick the song (or character) you want to play and then play through it normally until you fail. And once you fail, you can rewind it to before the part you're having trouble with and try again as many times as you need. Or if you don't want to play through the entirety of the song, you can just pick a specific portion of the song and start from there.

It is not clear that Gale's breast size increases. It's easy to miss and could be misunderstood as an animation error. In either case, it's visually ineffective. Something indicating the change (such as a visual effect) would do wonders.

Orignally requested by @SockHungryClutz BPM change keyframes should be added to the level editor. As previously discussed in the contributor chat, this should come alongside a UI update to move the keyframes out of the way of notes. A few suggestions for how to implement the UI could be to have text with the BPM value on the keyframe icon. The value could be adjusted by using the context menu with an option to change the BPM, or by double clicking the keyframe for the BPM change and having the text box be editable.

Originally requested by astro.dc would let the player change the color of the notes using color codes; pretty much like Clone Hero (i'm not trying to copy) I think Color Profiles are a great way to allow the player to customize their game and we already got the regular and Xbox color profiles integrated in the game already. Maybe add a prompt for a hex code for each note in the settings, let the player save X profile under Y name and let them select what profile to use.

I find it's easy to not notice that you only got "nice" or "meh" on a single note, finishing the whole level only to realize you didn't get the blue or red star ranking. Rather than just changing color at certain arbitrary numbers, I think it would be a really nice QoL change to have it change color to indicate the worst accuracy note-hit you've gotten all level so you don't waste time when aiming for the best ranks. Purple = All Perfect Red = All Great or better Blue = All Nice or better Orange = 100% accuracy White = Less than 100%

Originally requested by @atomicblaze21 Include a calibration tool that allows you to tap to a beat that's playing in order to calibrate audio/input latency. As there is also a visual aspect when it comes to seeing oncoming notes, maybe also add some way to calibrate visual cue latency as well. Examples of such calibration tools can be found in other rhythm games, I would recommend Metal: Hellsinger as a prime example of audio/visual calibration . This could improve an advanced player's ability to accurately hit notes. It would also provide enhanced accessibility for people playing over something like Steam Link where there is non-negligible network latency, or people with wireless headsets that have wireless latency.

Give the player the ability to sort mods by artists, character, song, song length, etc...
