Practice Mode idea

I was wondering if you guys have thought about implementing a practice mode in the game. And I don't mean the no fail mode. Here's my idea; in practice mode, you can pick the song (or character) you want to play and then play through it normally until you fail. And once you fail, you can rewind it to before the part you're having trouble with and try again as many times as you need. Or if you don't want to play through the entirety of the song, you can just pick a specific portion of the song and start from there.

Practice Mode Modifier
L
Luster
A new modifier with a score multiplier of 0
Button 5 adds a new checkpoint
Button 6 removes the most recent checkpoint
If you fail, you reset to the most recent checkpoint
Could limit the total checkpoints to the 10 (or whatever number) most recent
(Basically the same as Geometry Dash, but it’s one of the most simple and effective practice modes I’ve seen)

Include a secondary practice mode that allows a player to adjust the speed of the song up and down, as well as select a specific part of the chart to focus on repeatedly without having to reach it in the chart every single time. Any progress made in practice mode would be treated the same as progress in No Fail mode: no actual reward. A good example of such a practice system can be found in the rhythm game "A Dance of Fire and Ice".
